Under the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA), facilities that treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste may be required to investigate and clean up hazardous releases into soil, groundwater, surface water, and/or air – a process known as RCRA Corrective Action. Corrective Action through RCRA could often be quite a long process –the remedy selection process could be a decade or more, not including implementation of the remedy that would then follow! In 2018, EPA released some programs to streamline the RCRA Corrective Action process with implementation of RCRA FIRST and most recently, RCRA 2020.

Join us on July 21st as we look at real-world examples of RCRA corrective action historically and how things are handled today as a result of recent updates to the program.
