Ohio’s Cessation of Regulated Operations Program
May 11, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Do you produce, use, store, or handle regulated substances at your facility? Are you “ceasing regulated operations” or in other words discontinuing or terminating regulated operations or finalizing any transaction or proceeding through which those operations are discontinued? If so, you may be required to comply with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s (OEPA) Cessation of Regulated Operations (CRO) policy. The CRO policy was established in 1996 following several incidents of trespassing at abandoned facilities where chemicals were left unattended, leading to tragic results for both humans and the environment. It is important that you determine if your facility qualifies for the CRO program and what you need to do about it. Join us for this webinar designed to help you understand OEPA’s CRO requirements to determine if they apply to your business.
