What are the nuances of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)? It was approved by Congress on October 21, 1976, or about six years after EPA was formed. RCRA was an amendment to the Solid Waste Disposal Act 0f 1965, note five years before EPA was formed. RCRA was specifically to address conservation and recovery of resources. Today it is almost specifically equated with hazardous waste. However, there is so much more in the RCRA regulations. Landfill design, recovery system, and operation of certain resource recovery processes are just a few of the topics RCRA encompasses. This webinar will discuss eight nuances to RCRA that have been encountered over the past 32 years.
