Commonly referred to as “cradle-to-grave” regulations, there are both federal and state laws that set standards for how hazardous wastes need to be managed from point of generation to final disposal. At the federal level, these laws fall under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 (otherwise known as RCRA). Industries should understand their responsibilities under this legislation.
