August Mack is pleased to present a free 2-hour Asbestos Awareness Training for all individuals who may work in buildings that contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) or would like a general education on the topic. This training is an Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirement for maintenance and custodial staff, construction workers, property or facility managers, or any other workers involved in cleaning and maintenance or construction tasks where ACM may be accidentally disturbed. The training will include an understanding of the types of asbestos and associated health effects; applicable regulatory requirements; the types of ACMs and their likely locations within buildings; recognition of damaged or deteriorated ACMs; response actions for fiber release episodes; and requirements related to housekeeping. The training class will include a 90-minute presentation (with a scheduled break), interactive polling questions, an online quiz, and certification that will be emailed to attendees following successful completion of the course and quiz.
In accordance with the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) blueprint, attendance of this Course is worth 2.0 Certification Maintenance Points (CMPs).
