Talent Management Coordinator – Indiana

The Talent Management Coordinator is responsible for coordination and support of Human Resources recruiting functions and Talent Management Development Initiatives. Work is performed in cooperation with senior level management, under the general supervision of the Principal of Talent Management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RECRUITING/ONBOARDING (45%)

  • Partner with hiring managers to gain thorough understanding of hiring needs.
  • Coordinate internal and external job postings; work with Marketing on updating and improving recruitment areas of company websites.
  • Coordinate August Mack/EFS participation in geographic area job and career fairs.
  • Review and evaluate resumes; interview applicants and ensure that they meet minimum qualifications.
  • Present qualified candidates to HR Manager and hiring managers; facilitate the interviewing process.
  • Prepare interview questions, schedule, and materials for managers.
  • Travel to branch offices when necessary to assist in recruiting and/or talent development (approx. 10%).
  • Identify new sources for candidates on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain a recruiter and candidate database.
  • Manage new hire process by processing background checks, conducting reference checks, producing offer letter, and follow-up with candidates as appropriate.
  • Coordinate internally to prepare for new hire.
  • Develop sourcing strategies by utilizing internet job boards, advertising, social media, networking techniques, staffing agencies, employee referrals, college recruitment, and external technical recruiters.

TALENT MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES (45%)

  • Work alongside Principal of Talent Management to implement all existing employee retention strategies.
    • Use Predictive Index to ensure people are energized by the jobs they are doing/hired to do (Awareness as well)
    • Develop and evaluate career paths, job descriptions, and compensation programs
    • Evaluate current training programs and work with management team in delivering training
    • Assist managers in providing relevant and effective feedback
    • Assist in planning of company events
    • Administration of Community Involvement Program
  • Collaborate with Advisory Board on any new or existing employee retention strategies.
    • Assist with the administration of the Mentor/Mentee Program
    • Assist in conducting stay interviews
    • Assist in development and promotion of the Culture Spotlight

ADMINISTRATION (10%)

  • Coordinate the development and administration of the Human Resources and Health & Safety Database.
  • Assist Health and Safety Manager with insurance and safety program administration.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Entry Level – Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources. Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills are a must.

Experienced – Requires 2+ years of experience in recruiting or Human Resources and a bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources. Experience will ideally include a wide variety of sourcing vehicles such as internet sourcing/advertising, direct sourcing, social media, trade journal advertising, employee referral campaigns, campus recruiting, etc. Experience recruiting in an environmental consulting or contracting/construction industry is a plus. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
