JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated IT professional to join our team in the Indianapolis area. As an IT Staff Level member, you will work under the guidance of the IT Manager, playing a key role in maintaining our technology infrastructure, onboarding new staff, and ensuring our systems run smoothly.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

In the role of an IT Specialist, your primary focus will be on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of August Mack’s IT support and services. Your responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting IT-related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role will include opportunities for professional development and growth including researching and implementing new technologies as well as studying for and acquiring professional certifications.

You will work closely with various teams at August Mack to address and resolve IT problems promptly, providing essential support to our employees. Your day-to-day tasks will involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, assisting with hardware and software configurations, and offering user guidance and training as needed. You will collaborate with IT professionals and business stakeholders to improve our IT support processes continually and stay up to date with the latest software updates and technological advancements. Excellent communication skills will be the key to success in this role including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Develop and maintain inventory of computers, peripherals, hardware, and software
  2. Track Life Cycle Management and communicate replacement schedule with users
  3. Demonstrate professionalism, present the IT team well, and communicate in a timely manner
  4. Provide first level end-user support in areas such as printing, network logons, department and office software applications, network and end-user device troubleshooting in a timely manner for all AME/EFS offices
  5. Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure timely and consistent configuration for new hire computer and phone setups
  6. Successfully onboard new staff onto August Mack technology in new hire orientations
  7. Install, update, and configure computer hardware and software
  8. Perform LAN, WAN, server, and work-station computer system, network and end-user device operations and troubleshooting
  9. Document and conduct preventive maintenance procedures for computers and peripheral equipment
  10. Research and improve upon processes as needed
  11. Perform any miscellaneous requested duties that will improve overall efficiency of August Mack
  12. Diagnose problems or malfunctions and accomplish repairs in a minimal amount of time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: B.S. or A.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, Cyber Security, Network Systems Administration, or equivalent experience

Experience: 0 – 3 years of experience in IT
