August Mack was contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to install, operate, and maintain a mobile wastewater treatment plant at a Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) in Indiana, with work currently underway. Under this five‑year, non‑personal services contract, August Mack is responsible for providing a Temporary Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) capable of treating a mixture of dredge water, groundwater, and precipitation generated at the CDF, which stores contaminated sediment from the harbor and canal. The team is actively sampling, treating, and discharging pond water on site, performing required Whole Effluent Toxicity testing under the NPDES permit, and managing an anticipated treatment volume of 30 to 50 million gallons per year throughout the project’s duration.
