HUD Noise Assessments

Date and Time:
9/27/2017 at 3:00 PM, Duration: 45 Minutes

Description:
When housing developments receive Federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), one of the compliance requirements is an evaluation of the impact of external noise sources on the residential occupants and Noise Abatement and Control measures, if necessary. The protocol for evaluating noise is to conduct a HUD Noise Assessment in accordance with the HUD Noise Assessment Guidelines. In this webinar, we will discuss the evaluation process involved in a HUD Noise Assessment, including: 1) Identifying Sources, 2) Collecting Data, and 3) Calculating Noise Levels. We will also discuss the potential results of the Noise Assessment, and what attenuation options may be available, if necessary.
