Day in the Life:
eCAP® Account Manager

Jennifer RichardsJennifer Richards
eCAP® Account Manager
Indianapolis, Indiana
With August Mack Since 2006

Describe a typical day at August Mack.
I really do not have a typical day at August Mack. Being an eCAP® account manager keeps me pretty busy. I have many clients I visit on a monthly basis. Some of these clients are in the local Indianapolis area; some are a few hours away.  I even have one I visit on a monthly basis in Kansas. Others I visit on a less frequent basis in New Hampshire and North Carolina. My clients range from metal and fiberglass tank manufacturers to 100-year-old foundries to wood pallet recyclers. On a typical client visit I tour the site and identify any regulatory issues on the manufacturing floor and in storage areas. I review the facility’s records required by air, water, and waste permits and regulations as well as identify any issues in regards to the records. I discuss upcoming regulations, projects, reports and other issues with the client onsite. This is where we can identify if there are any additional permits or modifications needed based on the facility’s production plans.

What types of projects do you work on at August Mack?
I generally work with eCAP® clients, which encompasses many types of projects.  Projects can include Superfund Amendments Reauthorization Act (SARA) 312 and 313 Reporting (Tier II / Form R); monthly/quarterly wastewater discharge monitoring reports; quarterly air compliance reports; storm water discharge and annual reporting; and annual hazardous waste report, to name a few. I also have worked on air permits, wastewater permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans and environmental management system plans.

What do you like most about working at August Mack?
I like to meet different people and see how different products are made.  It’s like being in a “How It’s Made” episode all the time!
